RDV 21 project

The arrival of the twenty-first presents a double challenge to revisit our territorial initiatives by strengthening systems of governance and to investigate new ways to promote “Education in Sustainable Development “.

This very original initiative brings together and mobilizes local players concerning the concrete practices of sustainable development.

Neither grandmother's recipes, nor incantation to be made, "RDV21" is an ambitious task and a new way to think over other models of development, accessible to the ordinary people and open to the coming generations.
The attractiveness of our territories is also at this cost!

Within the framework of the European Leader+ program of rural development and with the  support of the Region Auvergne, the Permanent Center of the Initiatives for the Environment (CPIE) Clermont-Dômes   took the initiative to unite four rural territories of low mountain range around the project " Rendez-vous 21 ":

On April 21st, 2008, Morocco, Corsica and the Auvergne will meet in the “Chaîne des Puys” to            speak about sustainable development education. The country of Khénifra, Three Corsican Valleys and the Auvergne regional Natural reserves will convene at the Park of the Volcanoes of Auvergne for a meeting of exchanges and propositions.

After three thematic seminars near Meknès, Ajaccio and Ambert, the participants will confront their educational experiences concerning sustainable development.
21 initiatives will be presented. A collective analysis will be carried out to derive the best ideas,     define good practices and imagine a new educational model.
